Make Backup Copies of Key Documents

Getting there

As you know by now, files are stored on disks in directories (or folders). If the disk goes bad, you have lost everything! You should makes backup copies just in case.

1. Identify the location of your favorite files.

2. On a regular basis, copy them to another disk (see module 1.8.1)

3. Always remember that GONE IS GONE. Remember the name of the files you use and where you have the most recent copy. Also make back up on a regular basis.

Exercise #1

Locate one of your files on your disk using either Windows Explorer or the windows on a Mac.
