Understand the possibilities of spreadsheet calculations

Getting there

Spreadsheets can do any algebraic calculation you can dream of.   They can even do calculus and statistics.
   What really makes them so powerful is that not only does the computer perform the calculations; once you enter a formula, you can update the information and have the computer recalculate.  You can also copy and paste the formula to do repeated calculations.  Finally, when set up properly, the spreadsheet can give intermediate answers.

Think of the worst calculation you have ever had to perform and smile since the spreadsheet will do it for you.
