In many networking systems, the file server functions as a special type of hard drive.
Figure out which drive is the file server (WINDOWS: usually F: or other letter beyond D: MAC: usually has an icon like a filing cabinet or has wires hanging down from the icon).
Open the drive like you would a hard drive (double-click).
Move through the directory structure to find a file and double click on it to open it.
OR click on the file and choose EDIT and COPY to copy the file (then maneuver to
the destination location and do EDIT and PASTE).
Programs can usually be executed from the fileserver and files can be accessed. Sometimes, the system is set up so you can't save to the network drive so be careful!
