So you have one of those special web servers.
Only the district/school web master can post to the web. Imagine working all day to get the web page straight, and then the web master doesn't get a chance to put it up. What do you do for class tomorrow?
Do you know that any fileserver is an intranet server?
Use relative links whenever possible. Place your website in an accessible directory on the file server. The students can access it form the computers in the school by pointing at the directory.
Keep this directory in the same order as the actual website. (in other words use the same folder names and file structure). Then you can immediately use the resources you developed.
When it is time to post the web pages, it is very easy for the person since the whole thing is in the correct order.
And don't forget!!!!! your school network is much more reliable than your internet connection. Nothing is more painful than planning on having resources on the computer and then having to scramble since the net is down.
