Inferring on the web
(or how to know what you think but don't really know)
Start with what they can see.
Students still know comics. This activity
asks them to infer from a comic strip (the middle picture) and allows them
to check their inferences with the actual comic strip
This activity
asks the students to view art on-line and infer from it.
Move into those things that are really written. This activity
asks the students to infer the ending of a short story (actually Aesop's
fables)
Finally use and entire story to infer and use the literary terms necessary.
This activity
uses Rikki-Tikki-Tavvi for inference.
