Module # 5.4.3

Create a database layout to match an existing form

Getting there

Sometimes it is easier to use the format of an existing form for your database.  This requires that you have a form to use.

Let's just adjust a form layout instead.  First you choose VIEW and then pick FORM DESIGN.  You will see the following screen.543.gif (5191 bytes)

Point at one of the fields.

Drag the field to another location

Also notice the little boxes.  These are drag handles.  They will allow you to adjust the size of the field space.

If you want to adjust whether of not the field name shows, you should choose FORMAT and pick SHOW FIELD NAME. 543a.gif (5073 bytes)

If it was already checked, the field was showing.  If it wasn't the field will show now.
